MUMMEY (BIGGS)

Mildred Biggs Mummey, age 82, a longtime resident of Grandview Heights and Upper Arlington, died Saturday, September 18, 1999, at Traditions at Stygler Road. She began her teaching career in Conesville, Ohio, and taught mathematics at Jones Middle School in Upper Arlington until her retirement in 1970. She received her B.S. from The Ohio State University in 1939. She was a volunteer with numerous organizations in the Columbus area. She was preceded in death by her husbands Ernest R. Biggs, Jr. (of 32 years), and John H. Mummey Sr. (of 12 years); daughter Jane Kamer Mahring; son-in-law David Kamer. She is survived by her son, Bill (Kay) Biggs; grandchildren, Matthew (Beth) Kamer, Kristin (James) Cantrell, and Holly Biggs; great-granddaughter, Mallory Kamer; son-in-law, Ron Mahring. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where a funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 1999. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to the Ernest R.
