Spring Wildflowers II

White Trout Lilies have six petals which sometimes curl back as the one below.

The Rue-anemone is one of our more abundant spring wildflowers, but they only bloom for a few days.

The Toad shade or Sessile Trillium has a set of reddish-brown leaves in place of a blossom.

This is a Yellow Violet; there's an oxymoron. It is one of the rarer flowers found in the woods.

The Bellwort has pale yellow flowers that hang down toward the ground. The long leaves wrap around the stems and nearly obscure the blossoms.
