We're not sure what these White Ibis were doing in trees. There was no nest in evidence and many others were either wading in shallow water or flying about.
The Orlando Wetlands are located well east of the city of Orlando, near the St. Johns River. They are filled with a wide variety of birds who freely mix together. Above, we see a male Blue-winged Teal with a Moorhen in breeding plumage in the foreground.

With so many other birds about, there are bound to be some predators. Here is a Cooper's Hawk, literally laying in the weeds watching for an unwary victim.
