Maple trees are the most spectacular in Indiana with hues ranging from red through orange to gold.
In the early stages, the still green leaves make a nice contrast with those that have turned a golden color (above). Later, blue sky shows through and again makes a delightful color combination with the leaves (below).
A Fire bush makes a colorful contrast with the trees of the woods, even on a cloudy day.
