Little Blue Heron


This Little Blue Heron was perched on the bent stalk of a tall plant in the Woodruff NWR. It gave us so many good looks that we couldn't resist using several pictures of the same bird.



This Little Blue Heron was hiding in the tall grasses of Woodruff.


A Great Blue Heron is shown to contrast with the Little Blue Herons, above. This one is "talking" to a Black Vulture as they each have claimed the top of adjacent, dead, palm trees for roosts.
