Notes:
The word ‘Perfect’ was
added to the Ball jar at the time that the rights to the Boyd Perfect Mason
were obtain via the purchase of the Greenfield Fruit Jar and Bottle Co., of
Greenfield, Indiana in November 1909.
Some molds were modified from Boyd to Ball with ghosting showing. The ‘offset’ of the words ‘Perfect’ and ‘Mason’
on the jars is attributed to the addition of the former word to an existing Ball
Mason mold.
Starting in 1960, the
word ‘Perfect’ was dropped from the jars, about the same time as Logo 5 was
introduced.
